David Wulff, Director of Music

David graduated with honors in 1995 from California State University, Los Angeles,where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music with emphasis in choral conducting. He studied voice there with Pollyanne Baxter and in 1993, after several performances of his orginal popular compositions culled from many musical styles, won a California State University Friends of Music Scholarship. His tastes in music are many and varied and his own work incorporates accordion (he was an award winner in several California and Western States Accordion Festivals), percussion (studied through highschool), and guitar, banjo, and piano (all self-taught).

During his tenure at La Canada UMC, David has sought to expand the scope of musical presentations and has added the "Helping Hands" (eclectic folk, rock, jazz, and country concerts benefitting local homeless organizations), and the Music Mensa concert series.

David Wulff passionately believes in the spiritual and physical healing powers of music in our modern world and in music's ability to speak to a wide spectrum of people and to bring them together in love and harmony.
