  • Rev. Elaine cho

    lead pastor

    Pastor Elaine was commissioned as a Provisionary Elder in June 2011 and ordained as Full Connection Elder in California-Pacific Annual Conference June of 2013. Elaine was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Hawaii. Elaine became our senior pastor in 2011. She brings with her 16 years of ministry experience in the local churches in various places in America before she came to join us. Elaine not only brings her years of experience, but also her passion for the people of God. She desires to be God's megaphone to speak the Truth to the broken world that God's heart is broken over. She is happily married to Martin Y. Cho and they have a twelve year old daughter Selina who loves being a child of God. Selina believes the role as a "pastor's kid" is a "job" that God has given her.

  • Rev. Dr. joel green

    teaching pastor

    Rev. Dr. Joel B. Green Teaching Pastor Joel and his wonderful wife Pam began attending LCUMC in 2008 and has 12 years of pastoral ministry experience. Joel teaches at Fuller Theological Seminary and is the Dean of the School of Theology. Prior to coming to Fuller, he served for ten years at Asbury Theological Seminary as professor of New Testament Interpretation, as dean of the School of Theology, and as Provost. Joel has written or edited more than 40 books.

  • Denise lenore

    Minister of children and family ministries

    Denise began her internship at our church in January of 2014. She started working as an intern to our Lead Pastor Elaine Cho and stayed since. Denise's primary responsibilities are now working as the Minister of Children and Family Ministries. She also helps with teaching the Woman's Bible Study, assisting with worship services, and leading the Worship Intercessory Prayer Group. Denise also enjoys gardening, cooking, photgraphy, walking, and reading.

    director of youth ministry

    Scott is a good public speaker.  He is creative and passionate for Christ and His people.  He is a native Northern Californian and currently a Certified Candidate of Ordained Ministry in Cal-Navada Conference  working towards his ordination.

  • martin cho

    director of music

    Martin moved to San Francisco, CA at the age of 18. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition. He studied composition in Kingston University in Kingston England, and Orchestra Conducting at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England. He earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Miami and went off to pursue his Doctorate in Music of Arts in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington. He is happily married to Elaine (our Lead Pastor) and has a daughter named Selina. Martin enjoys playing the saxophone, golf, tennis, eating good food, and watching baseball games.

  • Victoria Symonian


    Victoria, our very talented accompanist, began playing the piano when she was 7 years old. Before she began serving at our church in 2002, she worked at Monterey Park United Methodist Church for 8 years. Victoria is currently the Head of Lark Conservatory's Performance Department and is a Master Teacher in Piano and Accompaniment. She also enjoys traveling, and live classical and jazz performances.

    Liberty is a highly qualified professional with experience in ministering at local churches.  She has worked in administrative and managerial jobs.  She has a strong love, commitment and dedication to God and his people.

  • Blanca Rodriguez

    Director of Children's Center Preschool

    Blanca began her work at the Children's Center back in 1991 as the first teacher for the school alongside Sue McKenzie. During this time she taught and co-directed for 7 1/2 years. Blanca left the Children's Center to get married and to have two children of her own, but returned in 2008 and has been there ever since! Blanca has a certificate in Early Childhood Education and 13 years experience as a teacher and director. She has all of the requirements by the Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division and she is certified in CPR and First Aid. Blanca also enjoys spending time with her family, children, enjoys anything Disney, loves baking and needle point.
